Hourly Billing

In some cases, we bill our clients on an hourly basis. This means that you’ll be charged for the time our lawyers and staff spend working on your matter. Hourly billing is typically used for matters that are difficult to predict in terms of time and complexity. Rest assured, we keep detailed records of the time spent on your matter, and will provide transparent billing statements , so you know exactly how your fees are being allocated.

Flat Rate Fees 

For certain types of legal services, we bill flat-rate fees. This means that you’ll pay a predetermined fee for the legal services provided, regardless of the time actually spent on the matter to be done.  Flat-rate billing is often used for routine or standardized services, such as drafting basic legal documents or handling straightforward transactions.  In matters where flat rate fees are appropriate, a fee estimate can be provided in advance, so that you know exactly what to expect in terms of legal fees, providing peace of mind and predictability.  If additional legal services are provided which fall outside of the matter for which the flat rate fees are charged, then the hourly rate of the lawyers and staff assisting with those services will be charged for those extra services. 

Tariff Billing 

Certain files where standardized legal services are provided, and where the value of those services can be easily quantified, may be billed according to a tariff for several reasons such as transparency, predictability, efficiency, fairness, and compliance with regulatory requirements. However, we also carefully consider the appropriateness of the Tariff based on the nature of the legal services provided the risand the preferences of their clients.
